Production zone:
Tre Colli vineyard, in the locality of Bagnano, Certaldo.

Production conformity:
compliant with the regulations of the DOCG Chianti “Superiore” and European production standards for organic wine.


Certifying boards:
Toscana Certificazione Agroalimentare srl, Suolo e Salute srl.

Position of vineyards and soil consistency:
hills at an approximate altitude of 200/250 m above sea level, mixed consistency soils of Pliocene origin.

Vineyards:
3800/4200 plants/hectare, spurred cordon and Guyot training system.

Grape varieties:
Sangiovese di Toscana and complementary red grapes.


Grape yield:
less than 6 tons/hectare.

Harvest:
by hand with selection of the grapes.

Vinification:
destemming and fermentation on skins for 10/15 days.

Maturing and ageing:
in barrels for at least 18/24 months, with at least six months’ bottle aging.


Organoleptic characteristics:
still red wine, deep ruby red in colour, characterised by elegant aromas with scents of red fruits, spices and brushwood. Full-bodied in the mouth, finely tannic, rounded with a good structure.

Alcohol content:
13,0 – 13,5% vol.

Pairings:
cured meats, red meats, game, roasts and mature cheeses.

Serving temperature:
18/20°
