Producer:
Azienda agricola Lucii Libanio, San Gimignano, Italy.

Production zone:
vineyards in the municipalities of Certaldo (FI) and San Gimignano (SI).

Production conformity:
compliant with the regulations for Rosso Toscano IGT and European production standards for organic wine.


Certifying boards:
Toscana Certificazione Agroalimentare srl, Suolo e Salute srl.

Position of vineyards and soil consistency:
hills at an altitude of 200/250 m above sea level, mixed consistency soils of Pliocene origin.

Vineyards:
3300 plants/hectare, spurred cordon and Guyot training system.

Grape varieties:
100% Sangiovese.

Grape yield:
less than 8 tons/hectare.


Harvest:
hand-picked with careful selection of the grapes.

Vinification:
destalking, fermentation with light maceration of the skins.
Wine produced without the addition of sulphites or other substances light filtering.

Maturing and ageing:
in stainless steel and glazed concrete tanks .


Organoleptic characteristics:
still red wine, deep ruby red in colour with violet highlights, featuring intense perfumes of flowers and forest fruits, juniper and rosemary. Round and fresh in the mouth, with a pleasant aftertaste.

Alcohol content:
12,50-13,50% vol.

Pairing:
various combinations are possible, from the most classic to the most informal.

Serving temperature:
room temperature.
